1. To promote outreach to seekers and inter-churches fellowship Gracious Light Christian Centre is organizing the 2008 Ping Pong tournament. March 29, kick-off at the auditorium of Ottawa Chinese Community Building and March 30 the final at Chinese Christian Church of Ottawa. Our church team is sending players to participate in the contest. Please contact Brother Frank Pan or Brother Shupang Chou if you are interested.
2. Youth worker brother Miguel Stack is away on a missionary trip from Feb. 18 to March 17. He is traveling and preaching in New York, Puerto Rico, Honduras, and Belize. Love offerings to support his mission are welcome.
3. Chinese bimonthly devotional “Proclaim” the March and April issue has arrived and placed on the front desk for pick up. Please take your copy and do your daily devotion at home.
4. En Nai Huang’s father is very ill in China. Brother En Nai is flying back to China to look at him. Please pray for peace and healing for the senior Mr. Huang, and comfort and support for Sister Wu Di, Brother En Nai, and their family.
5. Chinese prayer meeting meets every Friday at 8 pm in the dinning room. We are now watching a new testimony series by Rev. Fan Xue De in DVD. Please come to share and pray with us.

1. This morning 2 new members are joining our church through baptism. They are Sister Cai Xiu Hua and Sister Zou Ye. We welcome them into our spiritual family.
2. Youth worker brother Miguel Stack will be away on a missionary trip from Feb. 18 to March 17. He will visit New York, Puerto Rico, Honduras, and Belize. Love offerings to support his mission are welcome.
3. Council meeting is scheduled for Feb. 24 Thursday 7 pm in the board room. All council members please attend.
4. Annual congregational meeting is scheduled for today Feb. 17 at 1 pm in the sanctuary. 2007 annual report is placed on the table for pick up. Please get a copy of either English or Chinese version and attend the meeting.
5. Two adult Sunday school classes commence in January 2008. They are: 1. study on the Book of Romans for new believers led by Brother Patrick Wong in the dinning room downstairs; 2. challenging Christian lifestyle for long time believers led by Rev. Wilson Chan in the board room up stairs. Please come every Sunday morning at 9:30 am to attend Sunday school.
6. English prayer meeting commences every Wednesday night in the boardroom upstairs at 7:30 pm. “How Intercession Works” led jointly by Rev. Fred Milnes and Rev. Wilson Chan. Please come and feel the thrilling and fulfilling experience of the Holy Spirit.

1. We have entered the period in Lent. Lent reminds us the 40 days Jesus spent in the wilderness to make way for his ministry on earth. It also reminds us the 40 years the Israelites spent in the wilderness before they entered Canaan God’s promise land. We take this period to remember Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross for us which makes our salvation possible.
2. English pray and praise time led by youth worker brother Miguel Stack and the minister Rev. Wilson Chan meets every Friday night 7 pm in the sanctuary. Please come and join the fellowship.
3. Today is the 4th day in the Chinese New Year. We wish everyone happiness, health and prosperity in the year of the rat.
4. Annual congregational meeting is scheduled for Feb. 17 Sunday at 1 pm in the sanctuary. 2007 annual report will be distributed at the meeting. You may obtain a soft copy on line before hand by checking on the church web site. Please get a copy and attend the meeting.
