1. Today is the last Sunday of 2010. We count and thank God’s blessings and look forward to 2011.
今天是本年度最后的一个主日. 我们数算神的恩典和瞻望明年更蒙神祝福.
2. Our Christmas celebration held last Sunday was a great success. Brothers and sisters used their time and energy and gave their best to glorify God. We thank God for their effort.
感谢神给我们上主日有一个美好的圣诞庆祝. 也感谢许多弟兄姊妹的辛劳使這此庆祝榮耀神.
3. New Year’s Eve thanksgiving celebration will be held this Friday, Dec. 31 at
the church. We will prepare dumpling together at 4:30 pm, dumpling dinner
at 6:30 pm, follow by singing, testimony and sharing. Prayer meeting will start at 9:30 pm for those who would like to stay and pray. For more detail information, please contact Frank.
教会新年除夕感恩庆祝定于下周五12月31日. 四时半大家一起在教会包饺子. 六时半共享饺子, 八时半有唱诗, 见证及分享. 九时半有祷告会.详情请向潘文弟兄查询.
4. We pray for the healing mercy upon Brother George Wu who is suffering from pneumonia recently. Please continue to pray for those who are not well. May God restore their health and give them strength.

5. Reminder: In order to keep the sanctuary clean, please remove your winter footwear and place them on the plastics tray in the church basement as snowy and slushy winter arrives.

2. Our offering envelopes for year 2010 have arrived, please see Brother Yi Liang to receive yours. Offering envelopes help us to be faithful in giving to the Lord’s work.

3. Our sincere congratulation to Brother Haoqiang and Zhuge Li for the birth of their 2nd son last Monday, a little brother for Triston.

4.We thank the Lord for Emma, daughter of Brother Charles and Sister Jade, that her Eczema is now under controlled after taking antibiotic. Please continue to pray for her and for those who are not well. May God restore their health and give them strength.

1.今天我们进入将(降)临节的第三周,点燃耶稣来临的喜乐烛光.耶稣的 降临带来我们生命永恒的喜乐.
2.今年教会与西班牙教会一起在下主日(十二月十九日)庆祝圣旦. 十时开始主日崇拜, 十一时半开始庆祝节目.易珊紅姊妹负责筹划, 如你有任何建议或有意参与请通知她.
3.堂会本周三晚上七时四十五分召开月会,请堂会成员準时出席参 加.
4.教会正在寻找一位青年同工, 负责带领青少年事工. 请为此事祷告, 求神差派他忠心工人来喂养他的小羊.
5.张牧师办工时间: 周二至周五, 早上九时至下午五时会在教会. 会友如果有个人或 属灵需要, 辅导及邦助. 可以接触张牧师(613-594-4571).
6. 一, 二月份每日灵修的“Upper Room” 和“传”己到达,请到后面桌子索取.

1. Today we light the candle representing the JOY of Advent. We know that our Lord Jesus Christ will bring joy into our lives both today and for-ever-more.2. Our church Christmas celebration is scheduled for next Sunday, December 19th. Worship will begin at 10:00 am. Celebration will begin at 11:30 am. The
Spanish church will join us in celebration also. Sister Amy Yi is the
program coordinator, if you have any idea and want to help, please
contact her.
3. Our Council will meet this coming Wednesday, December 15, at 7:45p.m. All the council members please attend.
4. Our church is searching for a suitable youth work to minister to our church young people. Please pray for God’s guidance and provision.
5. Pastor Chang’s office hours are: Tuesday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
Members who have personal, family, spiritual and or physical needs are welcome to contact him.
6. The bi-monthly daily devotional magazine “Upper Room” and “Proclaim” January-February issue are available on the back table. Please take a copy for your personal devotion.

PEACE. The peace of Christ’s coming. May the spirit of Advent bring divine peace to all of our lives during this busy time.

3. Our Council has approved that starting from Dec 5th, 2010, Brother Miguel
will no longer work as our Youth worker so he can focus on his Spanish group ministry. He will continue to worship with us and may involve in our Mission & Outreach ministry in the future. All youth will join the adult worship in the sanctuary.
Miguel弟兄从12月5日起不再负责青少年事工. 他会继续参予教会事奉. 从 这主日起所有青少年会留在大堂一起崇拜.

Advent is also a season in which we look ahead to the day when Christ comes again and makes all things new. Today we light the first Advent candle of HOPE, because Jesus is the hope of the world.

馮津牧師簡介
廣東番禺人，抗日戰爭時生於天津因以為名。孩童時在北京生活, 故能純正北京話。十歲時隨父母南遷，在香港受教育，一九六一年 於香港浸會書院(現香港浸會大學前身)土木工程學系畢業後受聘為 土木工程師。一九六五年間因香港發生銀行擠提風潮，導致市面經 濟全面潰退，建築業停止，因而離開工程界轉任中學數理科教員。 一九七零年在神引領下投身全職事奉傳道行列，加入香港中國信徒 佈道會為幹事，同時於浸信會神學院攻讀神學課程。一九七三年移 民加拿大開始教會牧養工作，並進入安大略省神學院進修，在美加 等地華人教會牧會三十多年之久，忠心事奉。馮牧師熱心福音廣播，
從事空中牧養及空中神學教導事奉至今二十多年，是一位很受聽眾 觀迎的空中牧師，現任加拿大遠東廣播之駐台牧師及致力拓展事工.

馮津牧師簡介
廣東番禺人，抗日戰爭時生於天津因以為名。孩童時在北京生活, 故能純正北京話。十歲時隨父母南遷，在香港受教育，一九六一年 於香港浸會書院(現香港浸會大學前身)土木工程學系畢業後受聘為 土木工程師。一九六五年間因香港發生銀行擠提風潮，導致市面經 濟全面潰退，建築業停止，因而離開工程界轉任中學數理科教員。 一九七零年在神引領下投身全職事奉傳道行列，加入香港中國信徒 佈道會為幹事，同時於浸信會神學院攻讀神學課程。一九七三年移 民加拿大開始教會牧養工作，並進入安大略省神學院進修，在美加 等地華人教會牧會三十多年之久，忠心事奉。馮牧師熱心福音廣播，
從事空中牧養及空中神學教導事奉至今二十多年，是一位很受聽眾 觀迎的空中牧師，現任加拿大遠東廣播之駐台牧師及致力拓展事工.

2. We will start searching for a Mandarin speaking minister after our congregation and the Presbytery approve the Joint Needs Assessment (JNAC) report, which is available at the back table. Please give your suggestions or comments to Frank Pan.

3. We continue to pray for God’s healing mercy upon brother Junqiang Xiao as he is experiencing problems with his digestive system. Some tests had been done last Wednesday, he is now waiting for the result. May God restore his health and give him strength again.
请继续为萧浚强弟兄健康祷告,他食道有问题上週三做了检查,现在等待检验结果.求神赐力量及医治.

2. Today is Christ the King Sunday, the Sunday before Advent. An important theme for this Sunday is that Christ reigns by freely sacrificing His own life so that others may live. We remind ourselves that Jesus is our Lord and King, that His Way is at the centre of our life.
今天是基督是王主日(降临节前一主日). 基督羲牲自己使我们得永生. 耶稣基督是我们生命的中心, 和生命的主宰和王.
3. Pastor Chang and his wife will be driving from Madison, Wisconsin on November 26 and will arrive Ottawa on November 27. Please pray for their traveling safety and a smooth transition and adjustment to a new enviornment.

2. Pastor Chang’s appointment as a full time ordained supply minister to OCUC was approved by the Ottawa Presbytery last Tuesday, November 9. Presbytery also provides financial support up to $2,000 to assist Pastor Chang’s moving cost. Our church has passed the motion to increase his moving allowance from $1,500 to $2,500 at the recent congregational meeting. Thank God for His blessings and provision. Praise the Lord!
区会已通过委派张云台牧師为我们教会国语牧師及拨出$2,000补助张牧師搬迁费用. 另外我们教会也提供$2,500. 感谢神的恩典及供应.

2. Our congregation passed the motion to request the Ottawa Presbytery to approve the appointment of Pastor Chang as our church Mandarin pastor at our Congregational meeting last Sunday. The request still need the final approval by the Presbytery Executives during the November 9 meeting. Please continue to pray for God’s guidance and provision.

2. Pastor James Chang will be in Montreal next Monday (from October 25-27) to meet with the Conference Interview Board. If the interview is successful, he will be in Ottawa to look for an apartment on Oct. 27 in the afternoon, and will be back to Montreal the following day at noon time. Please continue to pray for God’s wisdom and guidance.

2. Pastor James Chang will be in Montreal next week (from October 25-27) to meet with the Conference Interview Board. If the interview is successful, he will be in Ottawa to look for an apartment on Oct. 27 in the afternoon, and will be back to Montreal the following day at noon time. Please continue to pray for God’s wisdom and guidance.
张牧师将于与蒙地可-渥太华联会在十月25至27日有一次面谈. 如果面谈顺利, 他会于27日下午来渥太华找房子. 求神继续赐智慧及带领聘牧事工.
3. If Pastor Chang’s interview is successful, there will be a congregational meeting on Oct. 31 following service to accept the Council’s recommendation to invite him as our Mandarin Pastor.
如果张牧师面谈成功,教会在10月31日崇拜后召开会友大会,接受堂会动议聘请他为教会国语牧师.
4. Church Council will meet this Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 7:45pm. Council members please attend.

5. There will be an one-hour presentation by Rev. Doug Stewart on Monday Oct. 18 at 7:00pm on the roles and responsibilities of the Ministry and Personnel committee.

2. Praise the Lord! Eight people from our church accepted Jesus as their Saviour and Lord during the last weekend’s Joint Mandarin Evangelical meeting. Most of them are from our ESL classes.

3. Our Outreach Comm. Has started a new project – ESL for new immigrants on every 1st. and 3rd Saturday evening of each month. Free dinner will be provided. 2. Starting today, there is a new Mandarin Sunday School class led by Brother Frank Pan, on “How to build up a blessed church”. This course will last about 3 months. Anyone who is interested is welcome to join the class.

3. There was a discipleship training last weekend and Zhao Li came to Ottawa University to lead the training. The main topic was “Bring glory to God in your daily life”. The training CD is available. If you would like to borrow, please contact Nan Wang. Also, just a reminder, if you are borrowing books, or CDs from our library, please sign off in the blue book (on top of a small table in the library).

2. Someone opened a window facing Bank St. last Sunday and that window felt down on the street. Brothers Bruce and Wei cleaned up the broken glasses they also fixed the other windows that need painting or reframing. Thank God for their diligent hard work to make sure our church building is in good shape. Please do not open any window facing Bank St. to prevent any more damage or accident. Also, there will be a lot of noise and dust when those windows are opened. Thank you for your co-operation.
上主日一个靠近Bank St的窗门被打开而跌落在街上. 谢谢Bruce and Wei弟兄清理碎 玻璃及修理其它窗门.谢谢他们的辛劳维持好教会建筑物.请大家不要打开靠近Bank St的窗门,避免破坏其它窗门及发生意外, 同时也避免街道传来的噪音及灰尘.谢谢大家合作.
3. Our Pastoral Care Comm. has initiated a new project to compile a document about our church history with stories and photos. This document will consist of two parts: a) from 1903 to 1962. b) from 1962 to present. This document is valuable to our church, and there are other Chinese Churches and organizations who show an interest in this document also since our church is the oldest Chinese church in Ottawa. Anyone who has photos or materials related to our church history, please contact the project leader, Brother Tony Seah,

We need people to help with preparing food, setting up and cleaning up…etc. If you are interested and are willing to help, please contact the Outreach Comm. Chair, Sister Amy Yi.

Our Outreach Comm. has started a very successful new project last Friday, dinner and ESL for new immigrants. 14 people attended, and we thank Brothers Baiping Niu and Sister Xiao Huang for preparing the dinner and Brother Charles Sun for organizing the event and Brother David Deng for helping. There are still some steps to follow such as Council and congregation approval, the credential check by UCC head office….etc. Please continue to pray for God’s wisdom and guidance in our search for a pastor.

We thank the following brothers and sister who will be driving him to the General Hospital for treatments: Sister Yu Yang and brother David Deng with brothers Wei Wang and Frank Pan as back up drivers. Please continue to pray for brother Xioa’s recovery, and for his daughter’s application for a visa to come to Canada to look after him.

2. Pastor James Chang, invited to come from the States, met with the Joint Pastoral Search Committee and our congregation last weekend. We all enjoyed the fellowship and the opportunity to get to know each other. Please continue to pray for God’s wisdom and guidance in our search for a Mandarin pastor.

3. Today is the Pentecost Sunday and is also the Global Day of Prayer. Today we worship and pray with millions of Christians worldwide for repentance and for the power of the Holy Spirit to change the life of the individual and bring blessings to all nations.
今天是五旬节(圣灵降临节)也是環球祷告日,在这一天我们跟世界千万基督徒同心悔罪祷告,祈求圣灵改变我们每一个人及为每一个国家带來祝福.
4. A joint Ottawa Chinese pastors meeting was held on May 20th from 10 am to noon at our church organized by Cynthia Lim, the Children’s Ministry Director of the Ottawa Chinese Alliance church. The goal of the meeting is to allow member churches to become more familiar with Ottawa Chinese churches’ needs. The meeting was with particular concern to a church like ours without a lead pastor at the moment and would like to touch base with us and try to offer help as needed. Representatives from at least 5 Chinese churches were present. Frank Pan was present for OCUC and Tony Seah was there as a sit in .

4. A joint Ottawa Chinese pastors meeting was held on May 20th from 10 am to noon at our church organized by Cynthia Lim, the Children’s Ministry Director of the Ottawa Chinese Alliance church. The goal of the meeting is to allow member churches to become more familiar with Ottawa Chinese churches’ needs. The meeting was with particular concern to a church like ours without a lead pastor at the moment and would like to touch base with us and try to offer help as needed. Representatives from at least 5 Chinese churches were present. Frank Pan was present for OCUC and Tony Seah was there as a sit in .

5. Please pray for the victims affected by the April 14 devastating earthquake in Qinghai,
China. Your donation will help disaster victims to rebuild their lives and their
communities. You can send the donation through the “Global Teaching School” by
using the school envelope or specify on your regular offering envelope “Relief Fund”
and our church will forward the donation to the relief organization such as Red
Cross…etc. Thank you for your generosity.
