1. Today is the first Sunday after Christmas. We relight the Christ candle. We thank God that Christ coming makes hope, peace, love, and joy possible for every person in every nation.
2. Our Christmas celebration held last Sunday was a great success. Brothers and sisters use their time and energy and gave their best to glorify God. A big hand to the organizing team which includes Sister Amy Deng; Brother Frank Pan; Sister Nan Wang; Sister Susie Cui; Sister Di Wu, Sister Ni Zeng and Sister Veronica Chen.
3. 20 copies of the Chinese devotional “Proclaim” for Jan and Feb 2008 are put on the foyer front desk. Please claim your copy and do your daily devotion accordingly.
4. 2008 new offering envelopes are ready for pick up from Brother Yi Linag. Please claim your boxes of envelopes and give accordingly on Sundays.
5. This Sunday guest speaker Rev. Dr. Gerald Fuller Adjunct Professor of Environmental Engineering Department, University of Regina and Chaplain of the Gideon camp is preaching at our pulpit. He will speak on Isaiah 55:11. This verse has a great influence on his life. We thank God for his message.
6. Sister Brenda Huang’s father passed away to be with the Lord on Dec. 9 2007. Memorial service will be scheduled in a week. We pray for the Lord’s comfort to the family.
7. 2007 New Year’s Eve thanksgiving celebration will be held Monday Dec. 31st at the home of Brother Shupang and Sister Lian Bo’s home. 6 pm pot luck dinner, 7:15 thanksgiving sharing. Please come and thank God for our blessings received in the past year.
8. Mandarin faith seekers’ class continues to meet biweekly this Saturday Jan 5, 2008 for lesson two in the new series, “Testimony of Zhang Bo Li”. Class schedule as follow: 6pm super, 6:45pm talk, 7:45pm discussion, 8:30pm free time. Contact Brother Frank Zhang for details.

1. Today is the fourth Sunday of Advent. We will light the fourth Advent candle to proclaim the coming of the light of God into the world. With the coming of this light there is joy, joy that is ours not only at Christmas but always.
2. We welcome into our church family 7 adults and 1 baby as they join our church through baptism this morning. They are: 1. Brother Liu Fu Qi; 2. Sister Du Chao Xue; 3. Brother Zhao Bing; 4. Brother Deng Yu Yi; 5. Brother Wu Ting Sheng; 6. Sister Chen Ying Ying; 7. Brother Chen Lin; and 8. Baby Tracy Chen.
3. Our church Christmas celebration is on today, Sunday Dec. 23rd, Worship service at 11 a.m. with baptism and special music followed by celebration at 12 noon with performances and special presentations. After that dinner and fellowship will begin at 1:30 p.m. We are happy to welcome the Bei Guo Dancing and Singing Group who join us in the celebration.

张伯笠，曾是记者、作家、北大人、通缉犯、逃亡者和偷渡客。他曾是普林斯顿大学访问学者，也是美国和台湾肾脏医院的垂死客。是耶稣拯救了他，使他出死入生，成为新造的人。他在2003年到华盛顿附近开拓并牧养丰收华夏基督教会，并为主的名在世界各地奔走。他在录像里的第一讲是：平安的生命。

With the coming of this light there is peace, for Christ is called the “Prince of Peace.” Christ’s name is also Emmanuel, “God with us.” The presence of Christ with us gives us peace day by day.
2. A pile of prayer and pastoral care request forms are placed on the foyer table. You are encouraged to fill out one if you need visit; prayer and/or spiritual guidance. Drop it into the offering bag and the pastor will follow up on your request.

6. Sister Yufen Zhu had a minor eye operation to stop the inward growth of her eye lash. Procedure went well now she is fully recovered. We thank God’s keeping and healing for her.

2. 在大廳桌子上放了一叠代禱及關懷請求表格，歡迎您在需要探訪，代禱或靈性輔導時填上投入奉獻袋裏，牧師便會跟您聯絡，回應您的請求。
3. 今年聖誕節慶祝已定12月23日星期天舉行，上午11時崇拜包括洗禮和特別音樂節目；中午12時遊藝表演；下午1時半午餐及交誼。籌備小組包括易珊紅姊妹；潘文弟兄；王楠姊妹；崔樹新姊妹；吳鏑姊妹；和陳必英姊妹。歡迎您提供意見給他們。
4. 陳偉甡牧師和Bruce Newman弟兄有意參加2008年3月31日至4月9日在以色列學習的聖地旅行團，有興趣加入者請向他們索取介紹簡章。

联合教会欢迎大家来听远志明见证系列之最后一讲：永生之门
永生是几乎所有人的盼望, 远志明将这一题目放在最后一讲, 说明它的重要性. 因为对基督徒来说, 永生是基督教信仰的重要组成部分. 但永生真的可信吗? 在圣经上如何描述永生? 永生有证据吗？这些证据充分吗? 欢迎新老朋友来听远志明的分析和讲解.

4: 30 : 喜欢打乒乓球的朋友可以在此时间来打球；
6：00 ：免费晚餐；
6：45 ：讲座录像――永生之门(由远志明主讲)。
7：45 ：讨论，自由发言时间；
8：30 ：自由活动(可以接着打乒乓球)。
