CONGREGATION & CHURCH CONCERNS for June 1, 2008:
(English)
1. Every Friday evening we have two prayer meetings: English at 7:30 in the sanctuary led by Brother Miguel Stack; Chinese at 8:00 pm in the dinning hall led by Pastor Chan, Rev. Gerry Fuller and others while we share devotional messages from Chinese scholars in the DVD. Please come and pray for the people and for the work of our church.
2. The biweekly Chinese scholars’ testimony series continues to meet this Saturday June 7 with a testimony on DVD by Rev. Liu Tong Su in the dinning hall. Dinner at 6:00 pm; presentation at 7:15 pm; and group discussions at 8:30 pm. New seekers and old timers to the Christian faith are equally welcome.
3. Baptism class of 6 sessions June 1st to July 7 starts every Sunday at 9:30 am in the board room led by Brother Shupang Chou and Rev. Wilson Chan. People who plans to be baptised this Summer please contact Rev. Chan and attend the course.
4. "The Ontario Health Department staff and Fire Marshal will come to inspect our church soon as a result of the daycare application. The church property committee wishes to clean up and discard all unwanted stuff in the basement storage rooms and hallways – things such as old clothes, car tires and things blocking the doorways etc. Members who have stored such items in the church basement please have them removed as soon as possible. If there are concerns please contact Sam Chu or Wei Wang."
5. Every Wednesday night 7：30 PM English prayer of intercession is held in the board room led by Rev. Fred Milnes and Rev. Wilson Chan alternatively. Please come and pray with us.
6. English Bible study fellowship will be held June 22 Sunday in the home of Teresa and James Hung. Potluck dinner at 6:15 pm and Bible study at 7:15. We will use the book 30 Days Introduction to Reading the Bible as guide. Please contact Sister Teresa Fang or Rev. Chan if you are interested.
7. Brother Dominic Chan will finish his chemical engineering contract work by Summer. We pray God to help him find a new full time job in Ottawa. Otherwise he would return to Toronto and live with his relatives.
8．2008 Ottawa Mandarin Joint Devotional Meeting is scheduled for June 6th Friday to 8th Sunday 7:30-9:30 pm at Ottawa Chinese Christian Church, 116 Empress Ave. Theme: Renewal of Christian life; Preacher: Rev. John Sun. All are welcome.

4. 應日託中心的申請安省衛生部官員和消防局幫辦將到本堂查察。樓業委員會須要清潔及掃除地庫儲物房和走廊雜物--諸如舊衣服，車胎，和其他擋住通道的東西等等。教友如果有以上東西放在地庫，請盡快把它們清理。如有問題請與朱浥和弟兄或王蔚弟兄聯絡。

7. 陳煒棋弟兄在渥太華的化學工程師合約將於暑假期滿，求神帶領他在加京找到新的全時間工作，否則他回多倫多與親族一起。

CONGREGATION & CHURCH CONCERNS for May 25, 2008:

1. Every Friday evening we have two prayer meetings: English at 7:30 in the sanctuary led by Brother Miguel Stack; Chinese at 8:00 pm in the dinning hall led by Pastor Chan, Rev. Gerry Fuller and others while we share devotional messages from Chinese scholars in the DVD. Please come and pray for the people and for the work of our church.
2. Biweekly Bible study fellowship on the Gospel of John led by Brother Patrick Wong will continue this Saturday May 31st at Brother Patrick and Sister Rita’s home. 35 MacNabb Pl., Ottawa. Bible study at 7:30 pm followed by a topical discussion on faith and life, concluded by intercessory prayer. All are welcome.
3. In response to the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck southwest China on May 12, let all Chinese Christians join in to watch and pray for our fellow Chinese people. We pray for peace and mercy from God to heal our native land in China. Today we are collecting a special offering for relief in the China earthquake.

6. Sister Xu Ming Li has returned to Tian Jin on Tuesday for three weeks. She will come back bringing along her five year old daughter this early June. We thank God for the family of Brother Hu Tie Qiang when the whole family of three will soon be living together happily ever after.
7. Sister Li Jing Wen had a brain operation. It went very well. The Lord watched over her. She has left the hospital and is resting at home. We thank God for protecting over her. We thank brothers and sisters who prayed for her.

3. 由於中國許多地方發生了地震，特别是四川地震帶來的損失很大，在這樣的光景中，我們基督徒應該起來，為百姓守望禱告。願我們在主愛中同心為中國大地在地震災難中的百姓禱告求平安！今天奉獻我們收集特別賑災專款為四川地震之用。

6. 許明麗姊妹於上星期二回天津三個星期，6月上旬她將攜5歲女兒回來。感謝主讓胡鐵強弟兄的一家三口可以同聚天倫之樂。
7. 李靜文姊妹經過開腦手術蒙主保守平安順利，現在已出院回家休養，感謝主的看顧祝福也感謝弟兄姊妹給她的關懷代禱。

Bible study at 7:30 pm followed by testimony and discussion on faith and life, concluded by intercessory prayer. All are welcome.
3. Global Day of Prayer is scheduled for tonight Pentecost Sunday May 11, 2008 6 pm at Dominion Chalmers United Church. This is a call to repentance and unified prayer 24 hours a day and 7 days a week in all nations. Let’s start the prayer watch today. We pray God to change the destiny of our nation, raise up praying warriors to revive the church and the city.

6. Brother En Nai Huang’s father passed away to be with the Lord in Bei Jing last week. En Nai and his son Jeffery were there and will stay for another week until funeral service finishes. His wife Wu Di and daughter Boyu are still in Ottawa. We pray for God’s comfort for the family during their grieving period.
7. To improve our church ministry we are conducting a survey. Please fill out the survey form in the bulletin insert. You need to sign your name at the bottom to prove your identity. But it will be detached later to protect your confidentiality. Please return it to the suggestion box in the back of the sanctuary. Deadline is May 11.
8．Sister Connie Wang is travelling in China until end of June. She will visit Bei Jing, Tian Jin, Kuen Ming and Shang Hai together with her brother Yi Hang who joins her from Taiwan. We pray for their safe and pleasant trip.

Dinner at 6:00 pm; presentation from Rev. Caruthers and others at 7:00 pm; questions and answers at 8:30 pm. New seekers and old timers to the Christian faith are equally welcome.
3. Global Day of Prayer is scheduled for the evening of Pentecost Sunday May 11, 2008 at Dominion Chalmers United Church.
