畢業於北京八一中學的劉同蘇，在哲學方面有很深的造詣。在美國成為牧師後，神給他許多的恩賜，他對許多問題都有自己獨到的見解。在這一集中，他以“遮在人生窗口上的簾子”為題，分享他對神光照的偉大和人封閉自我的渺小。我們常常把神美好的恩典拒諸門外也不自知呢。

1. Every Friday evening we have two prayer meetings: English at 7:30 in the sanctuary led by Brother Miguel Stack; Chinese at 8:00 pm in the dinning hall led by Pastor Chan and others while we share devotional messages from Chinese scholars in the DVD. Please come and pray for the people and for the work of our church.
2. Biweekly Bible study fellowship on the Gospel of John led by Brother Patrick Wong will continue this Saturday May 3rd at Brother Patrick and Sister Rita’s home. 35 MacNabb Pl., Ottawa. Bible study at 7:30 pm followed by a topical discussion on faith and life, concluded by intercessory prayer. All are welcome.
3. Global Day of Prayer is scheduled for the evening of Pentecost Sunday May 11, 2008 at Dominion Chalmers United Church. This is a call to repentance and unified prayer 24 hours a day and 7 days a week in all nations. Let’s start the prayer watch today. We pray God to change the destiny of our nation, raise up praying warriors to revive the church and the city.
4. Bimonthly Chinese Devotional “Proclaim” has arrived and put in the foyer table for pick up. Please claim your copy and do your daily devotion accordingly.
5. Every Wednesday night 7：30 PM English prayer of intercession is held in the board room led by Rev. Fred Milnes and Rev. & Mrs. Gerry Fuller alternatively. Rev. Wilson Chan participates to watch and pray for this church. Please come and pray with us.
6. Brother Xu Dun Qi and wife Zheng Xing Fei are moving back to Vancouver to be with their daughter and grand children. May the Lord bless them until they come back and enjoy fellowship with us again soon.
7. Ottawa Christian Chorale Cantata “The Resurrection and Ascension of our Lord” will present on May 3rd and May 4th at 7 pm in the Ottawa Chinese Alliance Church and the Free Methodist Church respectively. For information, please call Len Winn at 613-830-0108.
8. Caleb fellowship will meet this Thursday May 1st. Potluck luncheon at 12 noon followed by a special program prepared by Brother Xu Dun Qi. All seniors are welcome.

We thank God for the inspiring message he brings.

4月6日會友與教會關懷
CONGREGATION & CHURCH CONCERNS for April 6, 2008:

1. Every Friday evening we have two prayer meetings: English at 7:30 in the sanctuary led by Brother Miguel Stack; Chinese at 8:00 pm in the dinning hall led by Pastor Chan and others while we share devotional messages from Chinese scholars in the DVD. Please come and pray for the people and for the work of our church.
2. Ottawa Heart for Asia Conference featuring OMF missionaries ministering in East Asia will be held Saturday, May 3rd, 2008 1:30 pm – 6:00 pm at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church 971 Woodroffe Ave. North. Conclude with a complimentary supper at 5:00 pm. Call Evelyn Armstrong, 613-723-5650 for details.
3. The biweekly Chinese scholars’ testimony DVD series continues to meet this Saturday April 12 in the dinning hall. Dinner at 6:00 pm; lecture at 7:00 pm; group discussion at 8:30 pm. New seekers and old timers to the Christian faith are equally welcome.
4. Brother Ting Sheng Wu and Sister Ying Ying Chen are leaving us with their grand daughter Xing Xing to live back in China. They are visiting their daughter in the US this week before they return. We wish them farewell and God speed for a happy future.
5. Every Wednesday night 7：30 PM English prayer of intercession is held in the board room led by Rev. Fred Milnes and Rev. & Mrs. Gerry Fuller alternatively. Rev. Wilson Chan participates to watch and pray for this church. Please come and pray with us.
6. Chinese Association of the United Church of Canada annual meeting and Continuing Education Convention 2008 will be held April 17-20 in the Winnipeg Chinese United Church. Rev. Wilson Chan will attend as the delegate from our church. On April 20 while Rev. Chan is away, Rev. Dr. Gerry Fuller has kindly accepted to be the guest preacher for our Sunday worship. Please come and hear the inspiring message from him.

1. 逢周五晚上我們有兩個祈禱會：由Miguel Stack弟兄帶領的英文禱告於7時半在禮拜堂舉行；由陳牧師和弟兄姊妹帶領的中文禱告於8時在飯廳舉行，我們先看錄像見證，再為關懷事情祈禱。請為教會的事工和弟兄姊妹常常禱告。
2. 渥太華關懷亞洲心大會於5月3日下午1時半到六時在St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church 971 Woodroffe Ave. North.舉行。他們將會報告海外宣教士團契的工作，最後5時團契晚飯。詳情可向Evelyn Armstrong, 613-723-5650查詢。
3. 逢雙週舉行一次的中國學人在美國如何獻身信仰的見證光碟系列晚會本星期六4月12日下午六時繼續在本堂飯廳舉行。6時晚飯，7時見證系列，8時半分組討論，無論您是初信的還是舊信徒，我們都歡迎您加入這個團契。
4. 吳聽生弟兄和太太陳盈盈姊妹要離開我們帶他們的外孫女范星星小朋友回中國居住了。他們本周先到美國探女兒，再返中國。我們祝福他們得神保守，前程幸福。
