CONGREGATION & CHURCH CONCERNS for Dec 2, 2007:

1. We have now entered into the season of Advent. The liturgical colour is royal purple signifying our anticipation and preparation to receive the coming of Jesus our King. The first Advent Candle of Hope will be lit today reminding us that Jesus brings hope and good news to a world of hopelessness and despair.
2. Ottawa Christian Chorale presents “Celebrate the Child” words and music for Advent. 2nd of the 4 performances will be held in our church today: Sunday Dec. 2, 2007 at 7:00 pm. As we are the host tonight, please bring goodies for refreshment to share with our guests during reception after the concert.
3. Our church Christmas celebration is scheduled for Sunday 23rd Dec. Worship service at 11 a.m. with baptism and special music followed by celebration at 12 noon with performances and special presentations. After that dinner and fellowship will begin at 1:30 p.m. Organizing team includes Brother Frank Pan; Sister Nan Wang; Sister Susie Cui; Sister Di Wu and Sister Veronica Chen. They are meeting today at 12:30 in the dinning hall. They welcome your suggestions and inputs.
4. Rev Wilson Chan and Brother Bruce Newman are contemplating visit to the Holy Land. They have information on a trip to Israel scheduled for March 31 -April 9, 2008. Please see them for a brochure.
5. The English ministry is doing a series Dr. Charles Price in DVD on the book of Acts this fall. This is a time of Bible study and prayer. This Wednesday Dec. 5 beginning at 7:30 pm in church. Please sign up with brother Bruce Newman.
6. Mandarin faith seekers’ class continues to meet biweekly this Saturday Dec. 8 for the last talk in the series, “Testimony of Yuan Zhi Ming”. Class schedule as follow: 6pm super, 6:45pm talk, 7:45pm discussion, 8:30pm free time. Contact Brother Frank Zhang for details.

1. 我們已進入將臨節期。禮儀顏色已變成紫色，象徵我們要準備迎接基督君皇的降臨。今天第一支稱為希望的將臨節蠟燭將被燃點，告訴我們耶穌來臨帶給失望的世界再有希望。
2. 渥太華基督徒聖詠團獻唱“慶祝那嬰孩”神曲，4次演出中的第2次將於今晚12月2日星期天晚上7點在本堂舉行。我們既是主人家，請帶備小點在音樂會之後於樓下茶會招待客人。至於其他3場演出的日期和地點請參看海報。
3. 今年聖誕節慶祝已定12月23日星期天舉行，上午11時崇拜包括洗禮和特別音樂節目；中午12時遊藝表演；下午1時半午餐及交誼。籌備小組包括潘文弟兄；王楠姊妹；崔樹新姊妹；吳鏑姊妹；和陳必英姊妹。他們今天午飯的時候開會，歡迎您提供意見給他們。

1. Ottawa Christian Chorale presents “Celebrate the Child” words and music for Advent. 2nd of the 4 performances will be held in our church on Sunday Dec. 2, 2007 at 7:00 pm. Refer to the poster for locations and dates of the other performances.
2. People who come to Friday night prayer meeting are enjoying a second series of testimony in DVD presented by Rev. Liu Tong Su a scholar of law from China, who having been converted to Christianity, has become a dynamic evangelist for Christ. Please come to pray with us this Friday at 8:00 pm and see it for yourself.
3. The November & December issue of ‘Proclaim’ a bimonthly Chinese devotional published by the Chinese Christian Mission has been placed on the foyer front desk. Please claim your copy and do daily devotions accordingly.
4. Rev Wilson Chan and Brother Bruce Newman are contemplating visit to the Holy Land. They have information on a trip to Israel scheduled for March 31 -April 9, 2008. Please see them for a brochure.

联合教会欢迎大家来听远志明见证系列之：信心之门
听到不少朋友说，我不相信任何人除了我自己。其实，如果不信飞行员有能力驾驶飞机顺利抵达目的地，我们也许连飞机也不应该去坐了。神如何加添人对他的信心？怎样看待神迹? 神迹与信心有什么关系？欢迎朋友们在星期六晚上来听远志明的见证。他将结合自己的亲身体会来讲信心这一主题。
具体安排如下, 星期六（11月10日）：
4: 30 : 喜欢打乒乓球的朋友可以在此时间来打球；
6: 00 ：免费晚餐；
