敎會與會友關懷 2008、12、7

CONGREGATION & CHURCH CONCERNS:
1. Today we light the Second Advent candle of Peace to proclaim the coming of the light of God into the world. With the coming of this light there is peace, for Christ is called the “Prince of Peace.” Christ’s name is also Emmanuel, “God with us.” The presence of Christ with us gives us peace day by day.
2. On Sunday morning 9:30 am Rev. Chan is starting a new Adult Sunday School course called “In the Beginning…” a study on Chapters 1-3 of Genesis. This is a search for truth about the beginning of life and the creation of God. Please bring a new friend and join the class.
3. This Friday Dec. 12 evening 8:00 pm Rev. Chan will lead a prayer meeting using the book “Face to Face with God in Our Church”. We are intentional to start a prayer ministry in this church. We are praying for our parishioners and for our church work. All are welcome.
4. This Saturday Dec. 13 evening 7:30 pm Bible study fellowship will be held at the home of Brother Liang Yi and Sister Li Li’s. We will read the Bible and share reflections on life and work. All are welcome.
5. All church Christmas celebration is scheduled for Dec. 21, Sunday beginning at 10 am. Brother Calvin Cui and Sister Amy Yi will be host and hostess for the event. Sister Nan Wang will be team leader for decorations. Sister Wu Di and Sister Amy Yi will be team leaders for programs. If you want to volunteer and help, please contact the leaders.
会友与教会关怀：
1. 今天是将临节第二主日。我们燃点代表平安的烛光，因为耶稣基督是和平之君。他又是以马内利。他把神与我们同在的平安每天带给我们。
2. 逢星期天上午9点30分，陈牧师开始新的成人主日学课程『万事有起头』研读创世记第一至第三章。适合对生命的源头和寻根溯源有兴趣的朋友与我们一起学习。请带新朋友来参加。
3. 本星期五12月12日下午八点，陈牧师将带领祈祷会，利用"与主面对面"一书学习如何建造强有力的祷告事工。我们为教友的事情和教会的事工，同心合意祷告。
4. 本星期六12月13日下午7时半，查经团契将在梁毅和李莉的家中举行。我们有读圣经和分享工作与生活的时间。欢迎您参加。
5. 全堂性圣诞庆祝定於12月21日星期天上午十点举行。崔光明弟兄，易珊红姊妹将担任男女司仪。王楠姊妹是布置组组长；吴镝姊妹和易珊红姊妹是节目组组长。如果您有兴趣帮手，请向组长们联络。
